About the Honeycomb Online Curriculum and Facilitator Training
October 27-28, 2021
Training runs from 12pm-4:30pm Eastern / 9am-1:30pm Pacific on BOTH days.
Join us for our premier online Honeycomb facilitator training to enhance professional skills, knowledge and experience in delivering effective youth philanthropy programs. This training will be open to all facilitators, program managers and supervisors who are connected to Jewish philanthropy programming, as well as those outside the field who wish to learn more.
Join us as we journey through our brand new online curriculum and explore best practices and methodologies for implementing Jewish youth philanthropy in an online setting. Whether you are interested in starting a new program, expanding your existing program or learning about best practices in facilitation, philanthropy and Jewish youth engagement —all are welcome!
The cost of the training is $275. This includes access to all sessions, technology platforms, cohort experiences, resources and a copy of the full online curriculum.

Senior Program Manager, Honeycomb
Danielle Segal
Danielle Segal is the Senior Program Manager at the Honeycomb. Danielle is from London, United Kingdom, and moved to New York in 2010. Inspired by her love of the Jewish community and combining her teaching, program management and theater skills, Danielle has worked in the non-profit Jewish field for fifteen years as a Jewish educator, camp director and non-profit manager. She has developed several curricula, including teen leadership courses, and has led workshops on teacher training, team management and improvisation. Danielle presents at conferences and seminars nationwide about Jewish youth philanthropy, experiential education and teen engagement. She was awarded the Jack Petchey Award for Outstanding Service to Young People in 2009.
Danielle is Vice Chair of the JPRO NY Board and serves on the Board Of Directors for Tkiya. She is also a trained StorahTelling Maven with LabShul. She presents and produces the Honeycomb podcast “Outside The Tzedakah Box”. Danielle is currently completing the Certificate in Jewish Leadership For Educators with Spertus Institute and Northwestern University.
Community and Special Projects Manager, Honeycomb
Alana Hollander
At Honeycomb, Alana is responsible for the outreach and management of the network by coaching and mentoring professionals in the field of Jewish youth philanthropy. Her experience and insights have informed her development of tailored philanthropy curriculum, unique design of professional development webinars and trainings, and a series of publications and studies. Alana founded and continues to run the Honeycomb Youth Ambassador Council program bringing together youth philanthropists from across North America. With over a decade experience in the field, Alana continues to expand here knowledge and growth and is currently expected to complete her Certificate in Jewish Leadership For Educators from Spertus Institute and Northwestern University later this year. Her strong commitment and passion for Jewish nonprofit life is also reflected in her work with JPRO New York where she currently serves as the Chair of the Board. A native New Yorker, Alana is a graduate of SUNY Purchase and has a BA in Drama Studies. In her free time Alana is a singer-songwriter and plays in the band Urban Teakettle. She resides in Long Island with her husband and dog, Arrow.

Wayne Green
Wayne relocated to New York in 2017 from Melbourne, Australia having worked in London and across Australia. Wayne came to New York having received an Australia Federal government Endeavour Executive Fellowship to undertake professional development and research in youth programming and service delivery. Wayne has significant experience of over 15 years in non-profit management and has worked on programs on a local, state and national level. With a background in health and community lead programs, and more recently in working with Jewish communities, Wayne has a commitment and passion to continue his work with social justice based upon Jewish values. He has also worked to pursue equality and diversity of LGBTQ rights within Jewish communities and developed change initiatives to support inclusion. Wayne believes in teens as the next generation to lead significant change to support Tikkun Olam and is dedicated to building programs to support teen giving and connected engagement.

Alexa Heinrich
Alexa Heinrich is the Social Media Manager for St. Petersburg College (SPC) in Central Florida and the creator of the wildly popular online account, Social Media Tea. She is a passionate advocate for creating accessible and inclusive content for social media and has presented educational webinars on the subject to several different organizations including Harvard University, John Deere, GoFundMe, MIT, and the Great Lakes ADA Center. Alexa was the 2020 recipient of Sprout Social's "Always On" Award and also named Marketer of the Year in 2021 by the Higher Education Social Media community.

Jon Adam Ross
Jon Adam Ross is a founding artist of The In[HEIR]itance Project, a national arts organization that creates space for communities to navigate challenging civic conversations through collaborative theater projects inspired by inherited texts, cultures, histories, traditions, customs, and beliefs. Jon has spent 20 years making art with communities around the country as an actor, playwright, and teaching artist. He has served as a teaching artist at Union Theological Seminary, The Jewish Theological Seminary, and many other religious and educational institutions and is a longtime consultant for the iCenter for Israel Education. Jon was a Spielberg Fellow in Jewish Theater Education with the Foundation for Jewish Camp and has served as faculty for both their Spielberg and Cornerstone Fellowships. Jon received a Fellowship from the Covenant Foundation to create the In[HEIR]itance Project in 2015. As an actor, Jon has performed in over 90 cities around the globe. Jon holds a BFA in Acting from NYU/Tisch.
